Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how AwaDesk may handle information when providing resident communication, service-request, reservation, notification, and concierge technology. The information processed in a particular AwaDesk-powered experience depends on the community and services involved.
1. Scope and community practices
AwaDesk provides technology that residential communities may use for resident-facing services. A community using an AwaDesk-powered experience may determine what information it collects, why it uses that information, and how long it retains it. That community may have its own privacy notice, rules, and practices. Residents should review information provided by their property or community in addition to this policy.
2. Information that may be processed
Where applicable to the services used, AwaDesk may process:
- Account and contact information, such as a name, unit or property association, phone number, email address, and account preferences.
- Communications, including messages and information shared through supported digital, SMS, or telephone channels.
- Service-request information, such as the request description, relevant location, updates, status, and cancellation information.
- Reservation information, such as an amenity, requested date and time, and reservation status.
- Authentication and security information, such as login-related records and information used to confirm access where authentication is offered.
- Technical and log information, such as device or browser type, IP address, timestamps, pages or features used, and diagnostic events.
Please avoid submitting sensitive information that is not needed to handle a resident-service interaction.
3. How information may be used
Information may be used to provide and operate requested services; route and track requests; facilitate reservations and communications; send relevant service notifications; maintain security; diagnose issues; prevent misuse; improve functionality; and meet applicable legal obligations. Automated or AI-assisted features may help understand or route a request, but residents should verify important information with their property.
4. When information may be disclosed
Information may be made available to the relevant community, property personnel, or service providers when needed to operate the applicable resident experience. It may also be disclosed to vendors that support hosting, communications, or other technical operations; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect users, communities, or the service; or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer. Vendors are expected to handle information only for the services they provide.
5. SMS and mobile information
Where a community offers text messaging through an AwaDesk-powered service, message frequency may vary based on resident requests, account activity, and building notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Availability of commands can depend on the messaging program, but replying STOP is commonly used to request that messages cease and HELP to request assistance. Transactional messages already in progress or communications required through another channel may be handled separately.
Mobile information collected for messaging purposes is not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. It may be provided to communications vendors and the applicable community as needed to deliver and support requested messaging.
6. Data retention
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain operational records, address disputes, protect the service, or satisfy legal obligations. Retention can differ by information type and by the practices of the relevant community.
7. Security
AwaDesk uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Users are responsible for protecting credentials and devices used to access resident services.
8. Choices and requests
Residents may be able to update certain information within their resident experience. Questions or requests about community-held information should generally be directed to the applicable property or community using the contact method it provides. Messaging preferences may also be managed through supported messaging commands where available.
9. Children
AwaDesk is designed for residential community services and is not directed to children under 13. Children should not submit personal information through the service.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised as AwaDesk and its services develop. The effective date above will be updated when changes are published. Material changes may also be communicated through an applicable resident experience when appropriate.
11. Questions
Because no general public privacy contact is currently published for AwaDesk, residents should direct service-specific privacy questions to the property or community providing their AwaDesk-powered experience. This section will be updated when a verified AwaDesk contact channel becomes available.
